The Pearly Gates - 2
There was once a horse gate here that prevented horses on the top of the mountain from heading any further down the Alum Cave Bluffs trail. Our family referred to this gate as "The Pearly Gates" as it was a sign that the hardest part of the hike was done and there was just a short level hike through the shady trees to the Lodge.
